Scott Ramsay
Scott Ramsay is a photographer and writer documenting the
last wild places of Africa. Based in the Lowveld of South Africa near the Kruger National Park, he travels regularly to other wilderness areas on the continent.
His photography and writing seek out the sacredness of nature, and attempt to portray the intangible yet undeniable spirit of African wilderness. He has photographed and authored three coffee-table books: Spirit of Africa, Vast, and South Africa's Wildest Places. His work has also been featured in publications such as Africa Geographic, Getaway Magazine, Travel Africa Magazine and Go Magazine.
Scott is known for his immersive approach, venturing into wilderness for long periods, to photograph and write about Africa's wild places, and to interview conservationists, scientists, guides and communities about the opportunities and challenges of conservation.
His work celebrates Africa as the finest wildlife destination on Earth and honours the continent as the birthplace of humanity.
He believes that an immersive experience of African wilderness is a unifying, inspiring and healing force in the modern world.
